Domynex is a holding company, not a consulting firm or a PE fund. We buy small to mid-sized businesses outright and run them ourselves. We are not advising from a distance, and we are not assembling a portfolio for a future sale.
Most of the businesses we look at have a similar profile: solid cash flow, loyal customers, owner doing too much, back office held together with email and memory. The work post-close is to install the systems the owner never had time for so the business can run with less of them in it.
Our test for a deal is simple: would the business be measurably stronger five years from now if we owned it than if we did not.
